House of Dohwa Makgeolli Toner is a toner inspired by a centuries-old tradition: rice fermentation. Makgeolli, the iconic Korean rice wine, is known for its richness in vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. This toner harnesses that process to transform the skin, making it more luminous, hydrated, and elastic from the very first application.
Its viscous texture softens and envelops the skin without leaving a sticky feeling. This density is intentional: it helps the ferments and humectants penetrate better, providing deep and long-lasting hydration. Ideal for dull or dry skin that needs an immediate boost of moisture. The true stars are the Galactomyces and Saccharomyces/Rice Ferments. Highly valued in K-beauty, these ingredients improve brightness and elasticity. Fermentation breaks down rice nutrients so the skin can absorb them more easily, resulting in more supple skin and improved texture with continued use.
Supporting them are two rice extracts: Icheon Rice Extract, rich in hydrating minerals, and Rice Bran, known for its high content of vitamin E and antioxidants. Together, they provide nutrition, softness, and a gradually more radiant complexion. The formula is completed with niacinamide to even skin tone and add radiance; adenosine to enhance firmness and smooth fine lines; Ceramide NP to strengthen the skin barrier; and a calming duo of panthenol and trehalose, perfect for dehydrated or sensitive skin.
